Nobel Prize Winners List 2012 : All Categories

The Nobel Prizes are awarded annually by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the Swedish Academy, the Karolinska Institute, and the Norwegian Nobel Committee to individuals and organizations who make outstanding contributions in the fields of chemistry, physics, literature, peace, and physiology or medicine.

We Bring You the List Of This Year's Prestigious Noble Prize Winners which are Treated as At most Recognition Received by Any Person In The World.

Nobel Prize in Medicine 2012

The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2012 was awarded jointly to Sir John B. Gurdon and Shinya Yamanaka "for the discovery that mature cells can be reprogrammed to become pluripotent".Gurdon worked out that cells could be reprogrammed into a more immature state in 1962. In 2006, Yamanaka worked out how to turn mature cells in mice into stem cells by introducing a few genes.Yamanaka's 'induced pluripotent stem cells' removed the need to use live human embryos to create versatile stem cells. Its major Break through in the Field of medicine & May Bring a Radical Change in understanding How Cells & organisms Developed . This Research may also help to advances in medical treatment that allow damaged or diseased tissues to be regenerated in the lab, or even inside patients' bodies.

 Nobel Prize in Physics 2012

The Nobel Prize in Physics 2012 Was Awarded to two Scientists Serge Haroche and David J Wineland Who worked on a way to trap, manipulate the fundamental Particles of light & matter without Destroying them. Their Work could Bring a Ground Breaking towards building the Super fast Quantum Computers.

 Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2012

Nobel Prize in Chemistry this Year went to Robert Lefkowitz, 69, and Brian Kobilka, 57, for discovering the inner workings of G-protein-coupled receptors of "gate Keeper Family", which allow cells to respond to chemical messages such as adrenaline rushes.
GPCRs are found on the surface of all cells, and their job is to respond to even the subtlest of stimuli from the outside of the cell, be they particles of light, odours or hormones (such as adrenaline, dopamine or serotonin) and transmit them as biological effects on the inside. They do so by changing their shape and interacting with intracellular proteins, in particular the family of “G proteins” . The Work Done by these Great scientists helps to develop better drugs in fighting diseases like Cancer, Diabetes, depression . A Bit of controversy circled around the Jury Selection of Medical Doctors to Honour with Nobel in Chemistry. However This erases the Margin between Biology & Chemistry Research. For Every thing Chemistry is the root, Molecules Hold the root of existence in this Universe.

 Nobel Prize in Literature 2012
Chinese author Mo Yan,has become the first Chinese citizen ever to win the Nobel prize in literature, With his folk tales, history and the contemporary" with "hallucinatory realism".

Nobel Prize in Peace 2012
The EU received the Nobel Peace Prize this Year for promoting peace and human rights in Europe following the devastation of World War II, and the bloc was urged to use that unity in its battle with an economic crisis that is causing suffering for many of its citizens.

World's Smallest Computer Created

A Major Advancement In Computing Industry which shows That The Future computing(Qunatum Computing ) is soon Likely to be Real In Few Years.
Scientists have created the world's smallest computer that is just one square millimetres in size Which Is Hardly visible To eye and can fit into one's eyeball .
It was developed by a team at the university of michigan the tiny device is a pressure monitor that can treat glaucoma,a Chronic Eye Disorder.

It May Look Like A Small,As A proverb Says Never Decide By ones Size,It Contains An Ultra low-Power Microprocessor,A Pressure Sensor,Certain Amount Of Persistent Memory,a Thin Battery,a Solar Cell and a Wireless Radio With an Antenna That Can Trasmit Data To Other Devices.

To keep the battery charged, it requires exposure to ten hours of indoor light each day or 1.5 hours of sunlight. It can store up to a week's worth of information.

One  These Liliputian computers  could track pollution, monitor structural integrity, perform surveillance, or make virtually any object smart and traceable.

What Makes More Fascianting About The Device is automatically links Up With other computers to form wireless sensor networks is a compact radio that needs no tuning to find the right frequency.Well In that Case With improved Wireless Technology We Could Keep A Gps Tracker In it and Attach to Some One To know Their  Location Secretly.Oh It Can be Used For Spying !! Or Simply Attach To Our Briefcase In case If we Lost it ,We Can Track It Down.

Sad Thing Is I Cant Play Cod,Warcraft on that,My fingers Are Too big For it :)
It Takes Few More Years To Get Into Commercial use ,But what Makes sure With This Device That We are Forwarding Into Future Computing Where The Computers Are Embedded Into body Or a microscopic Or Driven By atoms ,Atomic Computers.

Scientists create 10 billion qubits in silicon, get us closer than ever to quantum computing

Quantum Computing,We here This Term Only In Some Of Science fiction movies,In Real It is High To Our Perception.Things moving Very Fast we been Travelling From fiction to Reality.Day may come In Near Future where We See Every Fasinating thing shown in Science fiction Movies.
Yes This May become a Part Of Regular Life In Rear Future as Scientists create 10 billion qubits in silicon, get us closer than ever to quantum computing.

Qunatum Computing ,The World Itself Is Pretty Hard To Get into Head.Qunatum computing Is Very complex Thing For a common Man to understand.Combining physics, mathematics and computer science, quantum computing has developed in the past two decades from a visionary idea to one of the most fascinating areas of quantum mechanics.
What I Know Is It will be able to solve certain problems much faster than any current classical computers.
This Is An historic Step along the way to our supposed quantum future. An international team of Scientists from Oxford University have made a significant step towards an ultrafast quantum computer by successfully generating 10 billion bits of quantum entanglement,The Basic Building blocks in silicon for the first time.

Entanglement is the key ingredient that promises to make quantum computers far more powerful than conventional computing devices.

The team's next step will be to entangle the pairs of qubits with one another, forming a massive-scale quantum computer.
The researchers used high magnetic fields and low temperatures to produce entanglement between the electron and the nucleus of an atom of phosphorous embedded in a highly purified silicon crystal, a university release said.

The electron and the nucleus behave as a tiny magnet, or 'spin', each of which can represent a bit of quantum information.

Suitably controlled, these spins can interact with each other to be coaxed into an entangled state the most basic state that cannot be mimicked by a conventional computer.
Quantum Computer use The power of atoms to perform computational Tasks.

This Appears To be a Very Significant moment in The field Of Qunatum Mechanics and Computing From the Day It was First Orginated with Paul Benioff, working at Argonne National Labs, in 1981. He theorized a classical computer operating with some quantum mechanical principles.
