Indian government issued a legal notice on search engine gaint Google for wrongly depicting the Indian map on its website and asked to immediately rectify it.
it claims that the map on its website (www.google.com/insights) showed certain parts of Jammu and Kashmir as a part of Pakistan (pakistan occupied kashmir).
It has also warned other websites to show India’s international boundaries correctly .

On Saturday, Aug 21, the India issued a notice to Google for the mistake and asked them to take immediate action on the issue.Immediately google alerted and rectifed its mistake on aug 22 and now it shows entire state jammu kashmir as a part of India.

this is second time google depicted the Indian boundaries ,earlier in october 2009 google showed the northeastern state Arunachal pradesh as part of China.
